Flood

is an interpretation of the way water passes through the landscape. This painting has depth since the clouds represent the origin of atmospheric water which bears down on to the earth’s surface represented by darker planes of colour. Water collects on the ground in many forms and situations and here it’s associated with desert and forest and breaks through barriers in its path. Water exploits every opportunity to seep and spread wherever it can, depicted here by the rivulets and channels.
